Jasmines in Her Hair

Poetry for the Soul

Jasmines in Her Hair is a collection of romantic poems that delve into the distinctions that have come through life’s journey, covering love, loss, pain, reconciliation, and finding love again.
If everything exists inside of language, then it is the love of language that makes loving that much more exciting. And what better way to explore the profound themes of love, heartbreak, loss, trauma, healing, letting go, self-love, acceptance, personal transformation, growth, clarity, inner peace, and self-esteem than through the medium of poetry?

This book will demonstrate that every relationship can be treasured and that there is as much relief in releasing ourselves from our past as there is in finding someone who gives our ability to love a new lease of life.

By providing valuable insights into the personal growth process, this inspiring book encourages readers to reflect on a compelling message: you give the greatest gift to your precious self when you start mending your heart’s wounds.

Beautifully written, Jasmines in Her Hair is a journey from the first throes of passion to when one finds their way to the soulmate they have been waiting for their entire life.

In my eyes, Desai succeeds in creating a book that is an “avenue to find access to what love looks, feels, and sounds like in the mind of a poet.” Here, it’s made clear that everybody has a poet in them. I’d bet most people have found themselves waxing poetic at times, especially when it comes to love, an emotion so powerful, all-consuming, and abstract that it can be endlessly explored and perhaps never fully captured.

These poems are snippets of love expressed in powerful lines. Some are lyrical, but they aren’t primarily rhythmic poems. The meaning is sometimes sacrificed to the rhyme, but this makes the poems all the more human. I journeyed through these pages and felt immersed in another human’s very real understanding of love. Poetry, no matter the length, has the opportunity to take the reader on a trip somewhere singular. In the case of these poems, it almost always does.

Whether you consider yourself a poetry enthusiast or someone who might view verse with a raised eyebrow, you will be surprised and entertained by this collection of love poems, just like I was.

Kalpesh Desai's poetry collection, "Jasmines in Her Hair: Poetry for the Soul," explores different shades of love life. In this romantic piece, readers are treated to the contents of fresh hearts mesmerized by the waves of first love, brought face to face to what happens when challenges set in, and led through the beauty of trying to salvage the situation or take the best necessary course of action.

Kalpesh Desai’s Jasmines in Her Hair is a collection of romantic poetry. It’s a collection that reflects on all facets and aspects of love, touching every part of the journey on its way – whether it’s the exhilarating joy of the first kiss, the tender beauty of young love, or the fiery passion of an intense relationship, or the pain and anguish of heartbreak, and the immense sorrow after losing one’s love.

In addition to this, it eloquently captures the aftermath of heartbreak, exploring the process of healing and the cycle of emotions. It depicts how healing sometimes begins, progresses, and may regress into lamentation and grief, only to eventually rebound into self-love, reconciliation, and renewed strength.

Jasmines In Her Hair is like a fascinating adventure exploring deep topics like love, heartache, and finding oneself again. The author shares their own thoughts and feelings, using powerful words to talk about love in many different ways.

What I really liked about this book is how it reminds us to value every relationship we have and be grateful for what they bring to our lives. As Valentine’s Day is around the corner, this book can be an impeccable heed to gift to your loved one and surprise them by dedicating a chapter to your partner and reading together on a park bench.
